A refill roll of STALEKS EXPERT White abrasive tape in 150 grit, sized for the straight plastic file case. The adhesive backing holds the tape firmly while you tear off exactly the length you need, so one roll replaces a stack of pre-cut files.

Key Features

  • 150 grit — shapes and shortens artificial nails and takes down length quickly
  • Expert White abrasive — an anti-clogging coating keeps the grit cutting instead of loading up with dust
  • Reliable adhesive base — the tape sits flat on the base and does not creep during filing
  • Tear to length — measure off only what the client needs and waste nothing
  • Single-use hygiene — a fresh strip per client with no sterilisation cycle to manage

Ideal For

Techs already using the straight plastic case who want to refill it rather than replace it. Pair with the 180 and 240 grit rolls to cover shaping through to finishing.

FAQs

Which adhesive files fit which nail file base?

DFE-40 files (with soft foam layer) fit crescent base size 40, which is the standard crescent-shaped nail file base. DFE-42 files (thin, without foam) also fit crescent bases in size 42. DFE-51 files fit the short polishing base size 50. ATS and AT adhesive tapes are designed for straight nail file bases (size 20) and come either as a spare roll (ATS) or in a convenient plastic dispensing case (AT). Always check the base size number matches the file size number.

How do I apply and remove adhesive nail files?

Peel the adhesive backing and align the file with the base, pressing firmly from centre to edges to avoid air bubbles. For tapes, cut the desired length from the roll and apply to the straight base. After use, grip the edge of the used file and peel away from the base. If adhesive residue remains, clean the base with a suitable solvent before applying the next file. Each file is single-use only — dispose of it after one client for optimal hygiene.

How do I choose the right grit for nail files?

Grit indicates coarseness: 80 grit is extra coarse for artificial nails and heavy shaping, 100 grit is coarse for artificial nail work, 150 grit is medium for general shaping, 180 grit is universal for both natural and artificial nails, 240 grit is fine for smoothing and pre-coating prep, and 400/3000 grit is for polishing. For natural nails, always use 180 grit or higher to avoid damage. For artificial nails or acrylics, 80-150 grit files work best.

How do I care for reusable mineral nail files?

Disposable mineral nail files (sold in packs of 5 or 25) are designed for single-client use — dispose of them after each service for maximum hygiene. Laser nail files and reusable metal files should be cleaned with a brush after each client, disinfected with a salon-grade solution, and sterilised via autoclave or dry heat oven. Store all files in a clean, dry place away from direct sunlight to preserve the abrasive surface.
